VAGAMON – THE TRINITY OF 3 HILLS

One of Idukki’s most popular hill stations, Vagamon is actually a trinity of sorts. A trinity of 3 hills named as Thangal Hill, Murugan Hill and Kurisumala.


KUTTIKANAM – THE VIBRANT AND CHARMING HILLSTATION OF IDUKKI

Among the many hill station locations of Idukki, Kuttikkanam is probably one of the most diverse and vibrant in its beauty and appeal. Perched at a height of about 3500 feet above sea level, the region is covered with sprawling green tea plantations, mystical pine forests, alluring streams, cardamom plantations and pristine hills.


PANDIKUZHI – A FAIRYTALE LANDSCAPE

A fairytale like location that is found between the Chellarkovil region of Idukki and the Tamil Nadu border, Pandikuzhi is an ideal spot for trekking enthusiasts to indulge themselves and also for picnicers to enjoy some of the the exotic flora and fauna that is home to this place. The place offers pfantastic phot opportuinities for the shutterbugs.


THEKKADY – PERIYAR LAKE BOATING

Thekkady – Periyar Lake Boating resumed on 28 June 2017. Happy news for travellers to Thekkady. The boating which was stopped for last couple of weeks due to the lower water levels in Periyar Lake has restarted with Daily 5 Trips. Thekkady boating Time schedule is as follows: 7:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:15 AM, 01:45 PM, 03:30 PM.


THE MYSTICAL SURULI FALLS

Imagine a fairytale setting of a dense forest, flowing streams and rivulets bordered by towering rocky hills and a breathtaking waterfall. Sounds perfect doesn’t it? Well, one can find this sort of perfection at the Suruli Falls, a place that could rival the most picturesque and fairy tale landscapes known to man’s imagination.


THE LEGEND OF PANCHALIMEDU

Panchalimedu , a hill station in Idukki that is as enchanting in its appearance as it is by its name. A number of hills make up the landscape of Panchalimedu.


KESARI WATERFALLS

The Kesari Waterfalls also known as Valanjamkanam Falls is located between Kuttikanam and Murinjapuzha on the Kottayam Kumily route.


VANADANMEDU – THE MESMERIZING HILLS

Vanadnamedu literally means ‘beetle shaped hill’ in Malayalam. One of the many enchanting hill stations in Kerala, Vandanmedu can be found as you meander along the curves and bends on the Thekkady Munnar road.



PATTUMALA – GOD’S WOVEN SILKEN HILL

Pattumala literally means hill draped in silk. This beautiful region in Idukki is approximately 8 kms from Peermade and 24 kms from Thekkady. The place gets its name mainly due to the lush green tea plantations and small streams and rivulets that run through this region.


A TREAT FOR THE SENSES – THEKKADY SPICE PLANTATIONS

When taking a leisurely stroll along the streets and winding pathways that adorn the hills of Kumily, you cannot help but notice the provocative aroma of various spices in the air. A host of different spices are grown in the spice plantations of Kumily. These include cloves, nutmeg, pepper, cinnamon and cardamom.
